Enter your brew (beer, not meads or ciders) into the Indianapolis
Brewers' Cup competition. There's a Homebrew division and Pro Brew
division. (We have a pro brewer or two in this THC list.)

This is a very fun and well run competition which had been growing by
leaps and bounds during its, what 8 years? Something like that.

ALSO note that Homebrew clubs are encouraged to have a presence at the
awards ceremony. Bring kegs, bring bottles, serve your beer! Last year
was the first year for this and the FBI was absolutely priceless in
their Jake and Elwood get-ups, hand-cuffed to their kegs. I am going to
take a small keg or two, and I hope to take the shirts down and sell a few.

Info about entering is in those linked docs above

JUDGING AND STEWARDING -- I believe they are still looking for more of
both, judges and stewards, including they are offering openings to a
small number of inexperienced judges who are interested in getting a bit
of experience. THIS IS THE WAY to do it -- stewards and novice judges
learn a lot, and it's a real fun event to be a part of.

Ron Smith will hold a practice judging session on June 29 in Indy for
those interested, but you would need to sign up really soon with the
judge coordinator and then contact Ron. He will be asking 5 - 10$ to
cover the costs of the practice session.

I have more info, please ask about it if you're interested. You can
help make the State Fair Brewers' Cup an even more successful event!
