At the bottom of every email (everyone's, I mean the email from this list)
there are some links.
One of them is
http://lafinlarry.net/mailman/listinfo/thc_lafinlarry.net
Click on that one. It's a little obtuse but you get used to it eventually,
faster the more you use it.
The first link there is "The archives" and leads to
<http://lafinlarry.net/pipermail/thc_lafinlarry.net/>
Don't actually even have to be a member to peruse those I think.
So that answers the question Chandler asks.
Other questions ("how do I change my password," "how do I know my
password," "how do I unsubscribe?" and/or "how do I change to digest
mode....." are also answered. Sort of. Cryptically. Ask me if you're not
figuring it out. Or just try stuff. I don't know why they don't mark it up
better so that new people can figure it out.
The one thing that I don't think we have is an easily word- or phrase-
searchable archive. I don't think the Mailman program provides that. If
someone is willing to do it, what we might need is a person to download the
textfile monthly archives and past them together. It's not an arduous job. If
someone did that every month for each year, and emailed it to me every month
when they had re-done it, I (or whoever might eventually be in charge of the
THC website) could put them on the website. Having a year's worth of months
together makes an email list archive much more searchable.
