[THC] brewing, chilling, and 2"-thick styrofoam boards

Best bet is to go to Lowe's, Home Depot and Menards, instead of 
relying on web sites. I've seen at least 1" thick, and I think that 
I've seen 2" thick foam there. Othe places to check are Henry Poor 
and Von Tobel's. Those two cater more to professionals than to 
do-it-yourselfers, and charge a bit more. But I think that they have 
a wider selection as a result.

Styrofoam is a brand name and while it it marginally better, it isn't 
a huge amount better than standard rigid foam insulation. You'll find 
infomation at any of the stores comparing the R-values, or the 
insulating factors. A roll of glass wool insulation would also work 
fine if you are careful installing it.

Also, many types of insulation are designed to fit between studs that 
are 16" on-center, which means that the insulation should be about 14 
1/2" wide, and can be held together with duct tape. There is no 
reason to insist on 4' x 8' sheets. You need to reduce the rate of 
heat infiltration, not create a hermetic seal.
