Joe Yakamicki has made us this VERY cool bulletin board, and I'm canning
the old website ASAP and we're using that bulletin board for... whatever
we evolve it into being useful for. It's a great tool, and will be a
fantastic aid to communication for the people who re interested in
communicating.
We may even eventually go over the BB only and lose the Mailman list,
although I'm really liking the Mailman list and getting used to it right
now.
But the old website has gotta go. I've been burned out and doing an
somewhat notably shitty job of it for a year or more. (Oops, pardon my
language, don't let the kids read that.) Joe's energy and applied
talents are inspiring. I believe that what he's doing is a real needed
part of us growing as an club.
The BB is found at http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~jyakimic/phpBB2/
check it out. It's a very standard format now, an open source tool that
many of you have probably seen before. You likely noticed that it
resides on his Purdue career account space, and of course we all see the
potential problem with that.... but we're going with it, and even if we
had to migrate it there would probably not be much of a problem.
It is of course a totally separate utility and requires a separate login
ID and password.... but if you know what you're doing those can be made
the same as for the Mailman list.
Check it out.

going now to re-direct the old website to the new BB!
Oh, and a special offer -- if you want to have your Mailman password
changed, and don't want to do it yourself.... I can/will do this for
you. It's trivially easy for me to do that. As a list admin I cannot
see or figure out your password, which is an important concept, but I
can at any time change your password. There are only 61 of us on that
list, and if all 60 others asked for this it would still be a very
quick, simple thing. Just ask. It would mean that I know your new
password for a minute, but I will forget it quickly, and I would never
abuse it.
