[THC] yeast

I have never used Wyeast.  Although it is to my understanding a starter would still be needed for most brews.  the "smack" does not act as a starter.  When I use liquid yeast I use White Labs.  Never had a problem.
  
As of late I find myself using dry yeast US-56 for a lot of beers.  Great for stouts, IPA, PA, american wheats, scotch ale, anything where a neutral yeast character is desired.  Also no starter needed and at less than 1.50 a package it is cheap.
