What the hell you talking about?! A strange and misguided concept of
"brewing weather" indeed!

You forget the (rather well attended) brew day at
Garage-du-Chez-Swihart-Westerman in Feb '06 when the high was 14 F and
the wind was blowing hard. (Good thing too! Else the CO from all the
burners we had going inside the garage might've been a problem.)

The plan is not for a "small get together!" Rick and I missed last
year's so I can't say what went on, but historically -- I've missed
about 2 of the LBC Holiday events in the past 13 years -- there are
usually 20 - 40 people at the LBC holiday meeting. (BTW that's the age
of LBC, 13 years.)

In any case it's still a great idea to have a get-together at your
house. It can be called a THC meeting or maybe calling it a "beer
appreciation event" would be a good way to encourage non-brewing people
who are interested in craft brew (and can possibly be subverted to
homebrewing) to attend?

(BTW, for the curious, THC meetings don't imply brewing, and brewing
days do not imply THC meetings. We've done a lot of brewing at meetings
lately, but that'sjust sort of coincidence. Meetings and brewing days
can be separate anytime.)

Mike -- would you be interested in inviting strangers, i.e. posting
little notices at the brew pub? These would NOT give you address or
more than date/time and major info, but would require that interested
people go to the website, join the BB, email me or Lloyd.... in order to
find out WHERE exactly to go.

We could work on this together if you want, or you could make such a
notice, if you like the idea.

Rick and I will be away that weekend unless our plans change, and it is
also a Hash day, so it 's doubtful that any of the hashers will attend.
But if that's the best weekend for you I bet you can make a very good go
of it and the local homebrewing community and beer appreciating
community would be benefited by it.

You should add it to the BB. You will have to join the BB first if you
are not a member. BB is at
