The meeting at Kevin and Monica's last weekend was great. It looked
dismal at noon, raining off and on, pouring at times. Then around 1:30
after we had set up three pop-up gazebos it stopped raining and was
lovely the rest of the day. The pop-ups were nice to have for shade.
My count was 18 people I think, and most everybody stayed most of the
afternoon and early evening.
The brewing outcome was
5 gal porter (Nancy)
5 gal chocolate porter (Tom)
5 gal hazelnut mead (Dave)
5 gal peach mead (Dave)
5 gal dunkelweizen (Linda)
Am I forgetting anybody?
We ate constantly and sampled a lot of beers and meads offered by most
everybody who attended. We drew door prize claim tickets from a hat and
gave away some nice beers and a few cordials that Robert left us when he
moved to Florida (thanks Robert!).
Sixteen people signed membership forms and handed over their $5 ("half
price after June 30") dues. Membership is not "required" for much of
anything except some equipment borrowing,
Explanations and info about dues and membership are at
