[THC] March Meeting

Hi THCers

Many of you might not know me but I am willing to host the March meeting.  I plan to have a Saturday afternoon meeting on March 10 from 3 PM to around 6 PM.  I will have munchies  - maybe throw some brats on the grill.  Just bring some munchies and your brew or stop by the bottle shop and pick up something interesting.

Why am I having this meeting?

I am getting out of the homebrew "business."  I plan to auction off all my stuff.  This includes a number of carboys, bottling bucket, small kettles, etc.  I also have a large number of bottles that I will give away - you haul.

My basement has also been the repository for a number of bottles that were taken from the basement of Bill Friday a THC legend. We will raffle these off with the proceeds to go to the THC.  The question is does beer get better with age?

In this stash are some Thomas Hardy ales (1996 and others), Old Foghorn, Sierra Nevada Bigfoot 1994, 2000, and 2001, King and Barnes Millenium Ale, and many others.  There are a number of other brews that Bill brewed himself.

Finally I would like to divest some brewerania that I have accumulated over the years.  Trays, glasses, signs and the like.  Some in good shape others a little rough - sort of a specialized garage sale.

I will send a complete list of the brewing equipment out next week so stay tuned.  I'll have directions as well.
