[THC] Fruit&Hops?

Well, hops (and malt) usually overcome subtle fruit character that is left
after beer has fermented, that's why fruit beer is usually light and not too
hoppy. However, there are exceptions, for example, cherry stout - cherry
flavor is storng enough, and cherries are sour enough to stand out and blend
with stout strength.
But in IPA - what kind of fruit are you planning to add to the beer? Cherries
will just color your beer red and make it taste sour, the flavor will be lost
in hops. Blueberries will just disappear, maybe add some fruitiness, which wil
be provided by hops anyway, and maybe some watery-like taste, I find in
blueberry ales.
There is a way of trying things out. Buy a good IPA, something you would wish
for in your recipe, and buy fruit/fruit juice/extract/essence. Add a few
drops of the latter to the beer and see what do you taste, and go from there.
Just some general thoughts.
Good luck,
Victor
