Victor's advice is good. I have made cherry stout a coupleo f times and
been halfways content with the result, but fruit beers do not charm me
particularly. My best contribution to this discussion comes from last
summer, when I made a 10 gallon batch of APA and flavored one half of it
with the blueberry stuff that's available at the homebrew shops. I used
only half the bottle -- it's a little thing, probably 4 oz so I probably
used 2 oz -- and it was pretty good. The blueberry was quite subtle but
clearly there.

That keg went way fastest at the B.I.G. Microbrew Fest, nothing left to
bring home. (All 10 gallons of APA, blueberry and plain, were made
expressly for that event. This summer we're going *that* gig a lot
differently. Including not taking so much beer.)
