The AHA Tech Talk email from yesterday carried this message from Janis
Gross. I didn't look to see if Lloyd has registered our event (which is
at his house on Nov 3), but all of us should be on the lookout for
friends who might like to attend and brew their first batch with the
club that day.

In the past years we have offered up to pick up half the tab (up to $20,
i.e. half of $40) for the cost of ingredients for each of three new
brewers, plus lend equipment, mentoring, and assistance throughout the
process of purchasing ingredients, brewing, transferring, and bottling.

I will check with the THC Board to see that this is what we want to do
again.

---------Janis's message ------------

Hi everyone,
Get ready to fire up your brew pots and share the love of homebrewing
with the yet to be initiated; it's time to register your site for Teach
A Friend to Homebrew Day on November 3rd. Teach A Friend day is the
perfect opportunity for you to invite friends and family over to teach
them how to brew, and to share some of your homebrewed goodies. It's
also a great time to introduce friends and family to your local homebrew
shop when you buy the ingredients for your Teach A Friend brew. Then,
have a great time brewing on November 3rd!

The registration form for Teach A Friend to Homebrew Day is up and
running. Here is the link:
http://www.beertown.org/events/teach/teach.aspx .

To learn more about Teach A Friend day, go here:

I hope you will all be teaching someone how to brew on November 3rd!

Cheers,
Janis Gross
