Hmm.  Yuck.  I hate this timing and it seems odd that AHA would do it, 
part since the AHA sponsored national once a year "Teach a Friend to 
Homebrew" Day is Nov 3 also.

And we really would like people to come to Lloyd's and brew rather than 
go to Badaboomz.  I have never been to Badaboomz and I'm happy they are 
willing to host an AHA membership rally, but I don't like that it is the 
same weekend as TAFTHB Day.

BUTTT-- anyway, whoever's interested, the AHA membership rallies are a 
really great deal for homebrewers.  For $33 you get a year membership to 
AHA ($5 discount) which includes 6 or 7 Zymurgy magazines, and it's a 
good magazine, *and* you get the rally.  It's like getting a reduced AHA 
membership price and the rally and its beer and food for free.

I wish I could go.  My AHA membership is paid up through some month I 
forget in 2008, but they just add on 12 months whenever you do a 
membership rally or some other add-a-year thing.  But I think I'm going 
to be at Lloyd's.
