[THC] Winter Warmer "brewery staff" passes

Hey gang --

If you are a THC member and can make yourself available to help with the 
THC table at the Winter Warmer on Feb 9 (5 - 9) by
   - arriving about 60 min early to load in and set up our stuff, also 
staying a bit late to tidy up
   - remaining in good control of all your senses (we need some things 
driven home afterward)
   - chatting up people -- USING YOUR SALESPERSON CHARM and outgoing nature!
   - promoting the club, answering questions and explaining technical 
details about home brewing
        (but we do *not* want everybody tending the booth to be advanced 
brewers; need a variety)
   - spending at least half of your time there taking good care of the
       [ table and demonstration items and/or
       [ sign-up sheet and/or
       [ money taken in (this gets written down), change made, and 
watching the cash box and/or
       [ T-shirts and/or other merch and/or
       [ serving taps and water pitchers and dump buckets
   - making sure people are not over-served and that they understand 
that homebrew club beer is not included in the admission price
   - focusing at all times on representing the club more than on taking 
breaks to go get great IN beers! 
            (ask people to get them for you!)
 
This is not a "free pass."  Much will be expected of you and you will 
not have anything like as much freedom to roam and sample as if you were 
using a purchased ticket.  You will be expected to be quite conservative 
with your tasting, and one or more of the brewery staff people will have 
to take items home with them for later retrieval or return by or to the 
providers.  (The demo stand, the T-shirt rack, kegs, whatever.)

If you are interested in this we'd like to hear of it.  We think we have 
two people and we need two more.  We will consider all replies received 
before Jan 15 (Monday) and will decide quickly and let people know.  
Reply to swihart at purdue.edu or to this list would be fine too if you 
want everybody to know!  The THC Board will decide carefully and let the 
interested people know within a few days. 

Note that this offer is for card-carrying members of the club. We know 
not everyone has had the chance to get around to re-up for the new year; 
don't let it bother you if you have not, but you will have to do so if 
you want to be a a part of this brewery staff gig for WW 2008.

If you have already bought a ticket and we accept/ask you to use one of 
the brewery staff passes, I will buy your ticket from you if you want.  
(And I am not scalping, in case that crossed your mind.  It's legal in 
IN and I'd do it elsewhere, maybe, but not here.)

Rats, gotta send this without proofing it further.  Hope there are no 
serious glitches!
