Hi Brian --
Did you try replacing the poppets?
If you want to email me separately, or bring it over here to our house
some night next week (Mon 3/17 or after), let me know. I have a few
spare poppets. We could mess around with it a little and see if that's
what the problem is.
We have some kegs that will be making their appearance at Scott Moll's
meeting and will be for sale to members for a price which is $5 less
than the price for non-members. It's not 100% certain but it looks like
maybe the member's price might be $16 and the non-member's price $21.
(A very good price an any case.)
The reason for the uncertainty about the price is that it's based on our
cost -- we bought 30 kegs for $300 and paid another $102.2 for shipping,
and we are still figuring out which and how many kegs are not good
enough to sell, or have to be sold really cheaply because they appear to
require a new pressure relief valve, etc..... The "good" kegs, i.e. the
ones that hold pressure, will have to cover most of the expense. Also
based on a Board of Director decision, not just one person.
There will also be some initial limit of number of kegs per member, two
or three; we'll decide before March 22. It seems more right to spread
them around, or at least offer them that way. If the first three people
to show up each bought ten, well, that would seem wrong.
(We hope to buy more before long if there is interest and they are still
available.)
Linda
