[THC] new day meadery "pitting party"

If our experience at the New Day Meadery is any indication, this will
be one mighty fine time, I can assure you. I have been quite
unfaithful at posting anything on our few-and-far-between imbibing
travel adventures of late, but our day before Labor Day visit to the
New Day Meadery is definitely something to tell about.

To keep the background brief, we had made plans to meet some people
whom we have never met before at Symphony on the Prairie to share
unique beverages and food pairings, and to take in the River City
Brass Band concert and fireworks. Between phone number blunders,
coverage and connection errors, and a sundry of other mishaps we
missed each other... and there were way too many ladies in pink
hats... so, here, in part is my reply and apology for the mixup:

"Ok... it was Elwood where we found ourselves totally immersed and
carried away by one awesome host and fine fella, Mr. Bret Canaday,
chief cook and bottle washer at the New Day Meadery (20 miles north
of Conner's settlement, as the crow flies.) Some might criticize and
suggest that we got plum carried away with the semi-sweet, honey plum
mead. I won't argue, suffice to say that we had more than enough to
share with everyone when our schooner hit the prairie. Furthermore, we
had plenty of perfect parings to accompany the heavenly nectar... but
I'm not complaining because I believe that the gods were pleased, and
we had a wonderfully peaceful time watching the sunset on River City.
We also had enough food left to rest from our labors over the
weekend."

"Peace, Kurt-n-Silvia"

Oh, and I'd pit Bret's plum against anyone's.
